Bill Jubb B.V.Sc

Bill Jubb Since graduating from the University of Queensland, Bill has been involved in small and mixed animal practice in Darwin, Nambucca Heads, Tuncurry, Wyong, and Warwick before purchasing the practice in January of 2000. Bill has an extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery, canine and feline medicine. Bill and his wife Wendy live on site, allowing 24 hour care for inpatients, and their three children Tom, Sally and Sam are currently working or studying in Newcastle.

Sarah Bennett B.V.Sc.(Merit) B.Biomed.Sc.

Sarah Bennett Sarah moved to Wauchope after graduating from the University of Sydney in 2008. She started working in a mixed practice but decided that her passion was small animals, exotics and wildlife. Sarah is quite willing to handle any of the less furry pets including snakes, lizards and fish! Sarah lives with her exuberant Kelpie “Skittle”, feisty cat “Willow” and one very patient partner.

Ruth

Ruth with cat Ruth has been involved with animals all her life including cats, dogs, horses, birds, ducks & goats. Ruth is a successful NSW CFA Registered Breeder of Burmese & Tonkinese cats under the Prefix of 'Parquin'. Ruth, & her husband Charles, have four children & six grandchildren.  After 19 years managing a school canteen Ruth found her niche as a Vet Nurse, in August 2006,  with O.H.V.H. & continues to thrive on the opportunity to learn something new every day.

Shirley

Shirley with Dog Shirley began working at OHVH in 1986 and enjoys the interesting, challenging and diverse nature of her position as head nurse. Over the last ten years she has cultivated a keen interest in animal behaviour and has attended seminars held by prominent animal behavourists such as Dr. Kristi Seksil, Dr. Ian Dunbar, Dr. Suzanne Hetts and Mick McAuiffe. Her special interest in animal behaviour has led to the development and implementation of our highly commended Puppy Preschool. In addition, Shirley assists with dog behavioural problems and is an accredited Canine Council Obedience Instructor.
Shirley has 25 years experience in showing, breeding, obedience and agility trials and currently breeds toy and miniature poodles. All of her dogs are very spoilt and share her home, family, leisure time and life.

Angela

Angela’s great love for animals was her inspiration to become a Veterinary Nurse. She is passionate about her work and is constantly rewarded by the response of her patients. Angela was a Senior Veterinary Nurse in Sydney for many years before moving to Port Macquarie. She is especially interested in animal behaviour as well as surgical nursing. Angela lives with her husband Adam and their two pampered pets, “Honey” the Burmese and “Fergi” the Groodle.

Lesley

Lesley joined our team in April 2010. She began her veterinary nursing career in 2005 and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2007. Lesley is passionate about animals and their welfare and this is reflected in her approach to the animals in our care and their owners. She constantly strives to improve her knowledge and skills in all areas. Lesley enjoys working with both large and small animals and has a keen interest in avian medicine. Lesley lives on a farm with her family and a large variety of animals including four dogs.
